Exquisite Sinner (1926) is a silent film directed by Josef von Sternberg and Phil Rosen. Prior to working on (and then abandoning) The Masked Bride, von Sternberg had filmed this picture. The studio disliked the picture and brought in Phil Rosen for extensive retakes in 1926. [1]

Preservation status

The film is indicated as a lost film on von Sternberg's wiki entry and Arne Andersin's Lost Film Files. SilentEra says the film is in the Turner Classic Movies/Warner Brothers archive.[2]

Dominique (Nagel) is a Frenchman on the run and Silda (Adorée) is a Gypsy maid.
